A well known Whitehaven takeaway has donated food to the NHS and plans to donate more to Cumbria Police this week.
Charcoal Grill which is located in Whitehaven Marketplace has recently made and delivered 30 pizzas to West Cumberland Hospital to nurses, doctors and other staff who have been working long hours on the frontline to combat Covid - 19.
Ozkan Al, owner of Charcoal Grill said
We are just glad we can help out. We are also keen to donate pizzas to people who may be in “bad shape” at the moment to help them out. We are trying our best to help people.
Their efforts don’t stop there as they plan to donate a further 25 pizzas this week to Cumbria Police.
