Jamie Reed 'drops' labour bid

Jamie Reed has confirmed that he is not to stand as a candidate for Labour Leader after Ed Miliband stepped down last month.

In an interview with Buzz Feed News last month he said that the new labour leader needed to connect with more people outside of the big cities and said that if no one else comes forward then he will consider it.

Jamie has now said that he wouldnt stand as nominations for the post opened on the 9th. He released his news in a series of tweets.

A following tweet stated that he would state who he was supporting and why soon.
