Save Our Services march

A march to save hospital services will be held tomorrow Sunday 14th June 2015 and will highlight what will happen if services are lost.

The procession will begin at 1:30 at the bandstand in Whitehaven market place before moving up King Street, onto Lowther Street and into Castle Park for speeches by retired West Cumberland Hospital surgeon Mahesh Dhebar and Jamie Reed MP.

Organiser Siobhan Gearing thinks the event is highly important and stressed that if people are as worried about loosing services then it is important that they attend.

Kids are welcome and are advised to bring banners highlighting their support. Darling Manor children entertainment on Queen Street are opening to provide snacks and to use the toilets. Their Ice Princess will then also join the march to entertain the kids.
