Gaiety Cinema to open with a BANG!



Whitehavens Gaiety Cinema is to open in a few weeks time and they have already planned some fantastic films for the occasion.

The Gaiety Cinema will reopen its doors on Saturday 24th October 2015. Tickets will go on sale soon and the details of which will be announced on their Facebook page 'Gaiety Cinema'. The tickets for the classic movies showing on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th will be just £5.

Saturday 24th October: The Wizard of Oz (afternoon show) Ghostbusters (early evening) The Shining (evening show)

Sunday 25th October: The Lion King (afternoon show) Grease Sing A Long (early evening) Pulp Fiction

Then on Moday 26th October new 007 James Bond hit 'Spectre' will be showing and conciding with The Royal Premiere screening in London LIVE that night.

The Gaiety said: "Further details of the half term week will follow soon"

"An invite only night will also be held on Friday 23rd October and we're offering you the chance to choose the film we show and receive 20 tickets for this screening."

"To win 20 tickets for the screening just email a film suggestion to charlotte@gcl-leisure.com before 5:00pm on Thursday 8th October 2015."

The Gaiety Cinema closed in 2003 after81 years due to a drop in the number of audiences. The last film to have been shown was Pirates of the Caribbean. The cinema is currently undergoing a refurbishment with a brand new picture and sound system being installed as well as improved seating.
