Small independent highstreet businesses re-open across Copeland

The Whitehaven, Egremont, Millom and Cleator Moor high streets have returned, with florists, clothing shops, card shops and takeaways all making a safe return.

Yesterday (15 June) seen retail shops across the country open for the first time in over 12 weeks.

Although food shops, pharmacies, banks and other essential retailers have stayed open, the majority of the High Street shops have not, from bookshops and clothes outlets, have been closed since 23 March.

Tens of thousands of Britons flocked to their towns and cities, with queues for the big-name brands running the length of streets.

Remember to #ShopLocal and #SupportSmallBusinesses

Lara at Little Whims in Whitehaven said: "I am looking forward to welcoming back our fantastic customers, we have certainly missed them all"

The majority of town centre stores and attractions have now reopened with COVID-19 best practice in place. For further details contact the establishment direct.
