The Cumberland wins national accolade for second year in a row

The Cumberland is celebrating after prestigious independent ratings agency Moneyfacts named it the Regional Lending Provider of the Year - for the second successive year.

The UK’s best lenders, mortgage providers and brokers were recognised in an online event that took place on Monday, June 1.

Moneyfacts rated The Cumberland top in its category once again after comparing its range of mortgages with those of other lenders around the UK.

Chief Customer Officer, Alex Windle, said: "We are delighted to be named Regional Lending Provider of the Year as it is one of the most prestigious awards in the finance sector.

"As a customer-owned business, we work hard to provide great value products and exceptional customer service, and it's great to see this recognised for the second year in a row."

Moneyfacts is nationally regarded as the foremost source of independent data and commentary on the UK finance market, allowing providers and consumers to compare all the important changes and features of current products in the market.

The Cumberland has forged a reputation for its customer service and competitive mortgages - which are reflected in this win and in its Gold Trusted Service Award, which is collected from Feefo earlier this year.

Alex added, "As a regional business we are here for our customers and communities through the good and the bad times. Our teams at the moment are working tirelessly to help our customers manage their money and their businesses, and supporting those facing financial difficulties in the current crisis.”
