Whitehaven Rugby League celebrate triple victory

Last night seen Whitehaven Rugby League celebrate a triple success after going and winning all three main categories in league one at the RFL Awards.

Gary Charlton was announced as the coach of the year and half-back Dion Aiye picked up the player of the year award and also winger Andrew Bulman was crowned young player of the year.

The awards ceremony and victories come after a very successful season with Whitehaven winning the League 1 title and have secured promotion back to the Championship.

The winners were announced at the Betfred Championship and League 1 Awards Night in Manchester last night.
